Luck and Love in 1902
Book Review: Luck and Love in 1902
The book “Luck and Love in 1902” is an adventurous and romantic novel that could make the readers nostalgically indulge in going through a simple life in the early twentieth century. This novel is based on the main setting of 1902 and shows the charming view of that era while giving the modern young readers the touch of a romantic love story and giving them virtues of love, fate, and determination with which characters kept on moving forward.
It revolves around two major characters whose fate is bound to an extent by the hand of destiny and in search of true love. The rolling countryside and the horse-drawn carriages and such like give the reader a real feel of the period and what people went through during the time. Historical detail is used well enough not to hinder the player’s imagination but to enhance the atmosphere and the gameplay substantially.
One thing that will first take center stage is the issue of character growth in *Luck and Love in 1902*. The advantages developed around the protagonists are realistic, and their characters have impressive and realistic strengths and weaknesses. The author does a good job of assigning those moments of chance, as well as the actions of the characters to give readers something to ponder about their own lives.
In its simplest terms, this is a tale of love, and how it could come when we are least probably it. The rate of the events depicted is rather slow, and nevertheless, the balance of the dramatic and the romantic and the comic is well chosen and the reader does not get bored while reading the novel.
But while many will regard it as a love story comprised of the detective and the femme fatale, the book of course has much more to say on topics such as friendship, societal norms, and personal development. Although the secondary characters play minor roles in the story, they have unique and significant roles in the development of the heroes’ story arches.
If one can have a quibble about the actual storyline it would be that the plot is somewhat predictable, which hardly will come as a surprise to anyone familiar with historical romance. Of course, this is compensated by the highly charged emotion and the sweet end that makes you happy.
All in all, *Luck and Love in 1902* is an enjoyable novel that combines love and history harmoniously. For a romantic comedy, with a message of hope and a hint of the days gone by, it’s a perfect vacation for audiences.
